All-State

Nominate your best 11th and 12th grade students for the top arts honor in the state.  Students submit a portfolio of artwork and an artist statement. 

Awards

The awards program recognizes outstanding art educators from the state of Iowa.  ​

Emerging Excellence

A middle level art competition/event that allows students to submit individual works of art. Students have an interview with a judge and receive purposeful feedback regarding areas of strength and of needed growth.  Awards are based on attainment of mastery.

Fall Conference

Our biggest annual event, where you can explore new methods and techniques, network with other art educators, and see nationally recognized speakers.

Mentoring

This program focuses on mentorship for first-year arts teachers and matches them with retired and veteran art teachers. This provides an art specific mentor in addition to their district provided mentor. 

Traveling Shows

Submit your student artworks to traveling exhibits that circulate throughout the state of Iowa or sign up to have the show mailed to your location and exhibit the artwork of Iowa student artists.

Youth Art Month

A statewide celebration and exhibit of student artwork. Winning artwork pieces are displayed at the Iowa YAM Show, Iowa Governor's Show, and at NAEA in the Youth Art Month Museum.
