Y.A.M.  Requirements

Art works submitted will be juried during the Winter AEI board meeting on January 30, 2010. Bring them to the meeting (or send with your AEI Rep.)

Artworks not accepted during the January meeting may be exhibited at the State Capitol Building with your permission. All exhibited work will need to be claimed at the end of the spring meeting by those who brought them. (This will happen only if we have someone to deliver and return them from the Capitol. See board minutes from January 2009.)

Maximum matted size: 20”X30”  (due to space limitations). Information requested for the enclosed labels MUST BE TYPED or the artwork will be disqualified. Word PDF

Each student whose work is selected for the exhibition will receive an invitation to the YAM reception as well as a certificate of achievement.  Art teachers and administrators will also receive invitations and should plan to attend the exhibit/reception.

If you had trouble opening these letters or you noticed that the year (2010, not 2008) in the body of the letter was incorrect, print again. Corrections have been made.


Only AEI Members are eligible to enter student work. (Membership dues must be paid at or before January board meeting for work to be accepted)  Each AEI member may enter 10 pieces of student artwork (flat, 2D) per school district.  Each member will have no less than one piece accepted. Works that are not accepted for this show will be shown on February 17, Cultural Advocacy Day at the Capital.

Reps will return art work after the April AEI Board meeting.
