From His Colleagues

Last fall, The University of Northern Iowa had the privilege of hosting the annual Art Educators of Iowa Conference in Cedar Falls.  It was a huge undertaking for us because we were both new instructors to the university.  Jeff took charge helping to organize meeting times, volunteers, students, and facilitating good communication between area art teachers and UNI faculty.  His positive attitude helped encourage art faculty members to present at the conference, which is often difficult to achieve.  A true highlight of the conference was Jeff’s ability to acquire the funding needed to bring Tim Rollins as our guest lecturer.  Rollins’ presentation was truly an inspiration to the Art Educators of Iowa conference attendees.

The Art Educators of Iowa members are fortunate to have a higher education administrator who truly supports arts education in every facet.  His dedication helps keep Iowa arts programs strong and growing stronger every year.

Sincerely,
